Robbery, Attempted homicide on a police officer

Suspect: Samuel Camposeco, 21 years old, resident of Dinuba

On February 16, 2017 at approximately 1120 hours, Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff's Office Inter Agency Gang Enforcement Team arrested Samuel Camposeco on the 400 Block of North F Street in the City of Exeter. Camposeco was wanted in connection with the January 5, 2017 robbery of a Texaco Gas Station (1200 block of North Alta, Dinuba) and the attempted murder of a Dinuba Police Officer.

Over the last month, Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit followed up on a number of leads, including locations out of state, in attempts to locate Camposeco who fled shortly after the shooting on Jan. 5.

On Feb. 16, Detectives with the IGET Team, which consists of Gang Detectives with the Exeter Police Department, Famersville Police Department and Tulare County Sheriff's Office, arrested Camposeco, who was found hiding at a residence in the City of Exeter. Camposeco was arrested without incident and later booked at the Tulare County Pre-Trial Facility on charges of robbery and attempted homicide on a police officer.
