On 02-08-14 Detectives from the Sheriff’s Gang Violence Suppression Unit were in the Yettem area conducting continuing efforts to curb gang violence in the northern portion of Tulare County. While in the 14300 block of Ave 384, Detectives conducted a Probation compliance check of a known male gang member. Subsequent check found the probationer was in possession of approximately 11 pounds of Marijuana, Gang paraphernalia and shotgun ammunition.
Arrested was: Eric Lopez (25 yrs old from Yettem)
Lopez was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of ammunition by a person prohibited of possessing ammunition and the probation violation.
In two unrelated incidents, two male adults were contacted by gang detectives in the Orosi area and subsequent investigation led to their arrest for possession of a controlled substance.
Arrested were:Antonio Mendoza (25 years old from the Orosi area) and Martin Ramirez (45 years old from Orosi)
