Sheriff Mike Boudreaux is proud to announce the promotion of two correctional Sergeants. David Barber and Tiffany Mendoza will be promoted in a ceremony on Wednesday July 9th at 1:30 PM, immediately following the promotion of Lieutenant Ty Stelow.
Sergeant David Barber began his career with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department six years ago, as a Correctional Deputy, June 2008. He worked two years at the Bob Wiley Detention Facility, one year at the Pre-Trial Facility, two years at the Men’s Correctional Facility and one year with Court Services in Visalia as Bailiff in Department 11.
During his career he has also served on the D.S.A. Board as a Sergeant At Arms, as well as the Marijuana Eradication Team for three years and recently began working with the Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.). He is also pursuing his Associates Degree in Administrative Justice with a 3.91 GPA.
Barber is supported in his career by his wife Sabrina and two daughters Jennifer and Ryen.
Sergeant Tiffany Mendoza started her career with the Tulare County Sheriffs Department in April of 2006. In those 8 years, she has been primarily assigned to The Bob Wiley Detention Facility, However has filled in at the Main Jail, Pre-Trial, MCF, and The Visalia Court House. During her career, Tiffany has worked as the lead intake officer working alongside the Sergeant. Tiffany has served as a member of the Gang team, gathering gang intelligence from local gang members in order to maintain the safety and security of the facility.
Tiffany has served as the secretary of our DSA committee and Deputy Committee helping make decisions that affect the future of the department. She has performed essential tasks that have help put on the Sierra k-9 Trials for the last 4 years. Tiffany was currently working as the Administrative Deputy for Bob Wiley which entails being in charge of our maintenance crew, teaching a class on safety, working close with the D.A’s office, Property and Evidence, maintaining and keeping the Facility up to code and being in charge of Bob Wiley’s Fire Life Safety program.
Tiffany is supported by her Father Manny Step Mom Brenda, Mother Kendal, Step dad Rick, Sister Mandi, Grandparents Manuel and Pat.
