The Sheriff’s K9 Unit wins the rivalry against Visalia Police for the second year in a row.
Congratulations to the Tulare County Sheriff’s K9 Unit for outscoring the Visalia Police Department during the 33rd annual Sierra K9 Trials Saturday in Visalia. The Sheriff’s team walked away with the perpetual clock trophy for the second year in a row, with a score of 934 to 903.
The two agencies join forces each spring to host the trials and, this year, 35 officers and their K9 partners competed at the stadium at Central Valley Christian High School.
In other results, Dep. Tony Rodriguez and his K9 partner, Jack, took second place in Building Search and Dep. David Randolph and his K9 partner, Johnny, finished fourth.
Dep. Jacob Stark and his K9 partner, Dallas, placed fourth among the Novices.
