Six-Week Long Investigation Uncovers Meth Ring Running Through Jail

Over the last six weeks, Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s  Office TAGNET (Tulare Area Gang and Narcotic Enforcement Team) conducted an investigation regarding methamphetamine being sent into the Tulare County Main Jail.

As a result of the investigation, Detectives intercepted drugs being sent into the facility on multiple occasions and identified the suspects involved as being associated with a criminal streetgang in Tulare County. Through the investigation, Detectives were able to obtain search warrants for 8 homes in Tulare County. 

On 09-13-2018, Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Visalia Police Department, Porterville Police Department, Tulare Police Department, Tulare County Probation, Department of Justice TARGET Task Force, and California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation executed eight search warrants throughout Tulare County. As a result, approximately 2.6 ounces of methamphetamine was located and the following people were arrested for the following charges.

Natasha Ladd, 42 years old, Pixley:

Conspiracy to commit a crime, sending in a controlled substance into a jail facility, and Gang Enhancements.


Charles Crisswell, 51 years old, Tulare:

Possession of a controlled substance for sales, conspiracy to commit a crime, and Gang Enhancements.

 

Ramiro Martinez, 26 years old, Terra Bella:
Under the influence of a controlled substance, Violation of parole

 

Dana Diaz, 32 years old, Terra Bella:

Outstanding warrants.

 

Arthur Jones, 51 years old, Porterville:

Possession of a controlled substance.

 

Kamala Tarkington, 54 years old, Pixley:

Under the influence of a controlled substance

 

Additionally, Jose Gonzalez, 33 years old, was already in custody in Tulare County on unrelated charges and is now being charged with Conspiracy to commit robbery, Conspiracy to send in a controlled substance into a jail facility, and Gang Enhancement in connection with this TAGNET Investigation. 

 

The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office is also looking for two additional subjects, Rosendo Martinez 27 years old from Terra Bella and Roy Perez 43 years old from Tulare, who have been identified in the investigation. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Martinez or Perez or gang activity is encouraged to call the Tulare County gang hotline at 1-888-END-GANG (1-888-363-4264).
