On 8-6-18, Detectives with the Tulare County Regional Auto Theft Task Force
(T-RATT) were called to a property in the 15300 block of Ave 248 in Tulare for a stolen vehicle investigation.
As a result of that investigation, Detectives found a Kubota M9000 tractor that had been reported stolen from Kern County. The tractor’s owner responded and took the tractor back, which was valued at approximately $35,000. The investigation is ongoing.
T-RATT is run by the California Highway Patrol, with Task Force Officers from several different Law Enforcement agencies within Tulare County, including the Tulare County Sheriff's Office, Tulare PD, Visalia PD, Porterville PD, the District Attorney’s office, Dept. of Motor Vehicles and, of course, the California Highway Patrol.
This task force serves as a force-multiplier within the county. It combines the focus of multiple Law Enforcement resources with differing expertise and specialized knowledge of different areas within the county. The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office is involved as a member of T-RATT and is a tool used to patrol the unincorporated areas of the county, cities and farming communities. Using these resources allows us to have more personnel patrolling our county.
Today, this collaborative effort resulted in the location and recovery of a farm tractor valued at $35,000, which was stolen in 2014 from the Tulare/Kern county line area.
