Arrested:  Manuel Jesus Lara  21yrs from Earlimart.

Tulare County Sheriff's Detectives with the Tulare Area Gang Narcotic Enforcement Team (TAGNET) attempted to make contact with a suspicious person in the 500 block of Vineyard.

As Detectives approached the subject, he began to run from detectives holding what appeared to be a firearm.

Detectives ran after the subject and he was detained and arrested after running into a residence. Detectives located the firearm the suspect was in possession of. Investigation revealed the suspect to be a documented gang member.

Suspect Manuel Jesus Lara was taken into custody and booked on the following charges:

Charges: PC 25850(c)(3) Street gang member in possession of a firearm,  PC 29800 Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, PC 166(9) Violation of Gang Injunction, PC 148 Resisting arrest.
