On Wednesday, 07/04/18 at 0058 hours, Deputies from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 400 block of South Reservation Road, in Porterville, regarding a male who had fired a round in the area. Upon arrival, Deputies located the male who had shot himself. He was transported to a local hospital. He is listed in critical but stable condition.

The case is currently under investigation by the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit. No other persons were injured during the incident. The motive behind the self-inflicted gunshot wound is still under investigation.
