On 12-13-2017 at 2:02 a.m., Deputies with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office were called to RJ’s Travel Center in Traver for a report of an armed robbery. During the investigation, Deputies learned 4 people walked into RJ’s Travel Center and pulled out a gun. They got away with $4,000 of cash, cigarettes, and alcohol. Video surveillance was obtained from the robbery and Detectives began following up with several leads.
Through follow-up investigation, Detectives were able to identify 25-year-old Jose Luna of Dinuba, 24-year-old Marco Herrera of Dinuba, and 21-year-old Hector Vasquez of New London as the suspects being involved in the robbery. The Tulare County District Office filed charges on the suspects and warrants were issued for robbery.
On 12-28-2018, Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office CATTCH Unit conducted surveillance on all three suspects. As a result, Detectives were able to safely catch all three suspects and take them into custody. They were all taken and booked at the Tulare County Adult PreTrial Facility and are being held on $100,000 bail.
