On Thursday February 7th, 2018 at about 6:20 a.m., Detectives from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit along with Detectives from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office TAGNET unit served a search warrant at the 400 block of N.Thompson in Earlimart, in regards to a robbery that happened on Friday, January 25th at about 1 a.m., at the 300 block of North Church Street in Earlimart.
During the robbery investigation, detectives arrested 18-year-old Antonio Nunez, who is also a person of interest in a murder that happened on June 12th, 2018 at the 800 block of West Compton Avenue in Pixley. During the course of the murder investigation, Detectives learned Nunez took an active role in the murder of Servando Martinez, who was shot to death. The suspects fled the scene in a light colored pickup truck.
Nunez now faces charges of murder, gang enhancement and robbery.
