Around 2 p.m. on 12/03/2019, TCSO Deputies were called to the 16300 block of Avenue 152 in Tipton for a burglary. When they arrived, the victim told Deputies someone broke into his house and took his custom handmade two-seat Extreme Dune Buggy, 1984 Honda 250R 3-wheeled ATV, tools, artificial Christmas tree with ornaments and other items valued at more than $38,500.00.
TCSO Detectives took over the investigation and found tire tracks from the dune buggy going northeast along the ditch banks and field access roads. The tracks were followed for several miles until they ended. Detectives also found other physical evidence on scene that may help in the investigation.
The Dune Buggy has a red powder coated frame, sheet metal sides with blue and red flames. It also has a fixed wind wing on the rear, and a dog bone style connecting the front steering A-Arm links. The motor is a pumped Honda 6-Cylinder. At the time of the burglary, paddle tires were not affixed to the buggy. The 1984 Honda 250R is red with gold inlay numbers. This ATV is equipped with a water cooled radiator and is original in parts and appearance.
