Trail of fertilizer leads deputies to thief

Deputies tracked down the man who stole a fertilizer trailer by following a trail of liquid fertilizer left behind on Thursday, July 4, 2019. 


The trail led them to the stolen trailer at the 5800 block of Road 120 in Earlimart. There, deputies arrested Victor Porras-Marquez, 36, for grand theft and other felony charges.


The trailer, worth $5,000, was returned to the victim.


The case remains under investigation.
