On Sunday, July 8, 2018, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by The Kern County Sheriff's Office to request help with the search for a missing man at Lake Isabella. 

Over the last two days, The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Swiftwater Dive Rescue Team (SDRT) has conducted an extensive search using side-scan sonar and an underwater remotely-operated submarine. They ultimately found the body of the missing man. 

SDRT divers recovered the body from a depth of 55 feet below the surface in zero visibility.

The family has been notified and an additional news release will be sent out by The Kern County Sheriff’s Office. Please contact the Kern County Sheriff’s Office with any information or for further requests.
