On July 2, 2019, Detectives from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office located illegal marijuana grow sites while assisting members of the Resource Management Agency with several civil abatement warrants at the following locations:
- 30000 block of Farr Road, Goshen
- 1100 block of East Naranjo Avenue, Woodlake
- 19000 block of Avenue 195, Plainview
- 19000 block of Oklahoma Avenue, Plainview
During the investigation on the 1100 block of East Naranjo Avenue in Woodlake, Detectives located four firearms, one of which was identified as stolen. Detectives also arrested the two suspects at the scene, Maria Urtiz, 48, of Woodlake and Maritca Barrera, 39, of Woodlake. They were booked at the Adult Pre-Trial Facility.
In all, Detectives were able to locate and eradicate more than 316 Marijuana plants. Seventeen pounds of Shake, 179 pounds of semi-processed Marijuana and 12 pounds of processed Marijuana were seized and destroyed.
