On 10-3-18 at approximately 1203 hours Deputies from Porterville Sheriff’s Substation were dispatched to check the welfare of a female victim possibly involved in a domestic dispute.  Deputies responded to an address located in Springville where they contacted a female who reported she had been involved in a physical altercation with her husband.  The female also reported being sexually assaulted, and physically held against her will.  At the scene, Deputies contacted the suspect who was identified as Richard Telles (37 years old). 

He was immediately detained without incident.  During the investigation Deputies discovered Telles was employed as a US Forest Service Officer.  Subsequently, Detectives were requested and responded to take over the investigation.  Telles was later transported to Porterville Substation where he was arrested and booked without incident.
