SUSPECT: 45-year-old female

Due to the recent inquiries on Social Media, Sheriff Boudreaux would like to make the community be aware of the recent incident that occurred at the intersection of Prospect Street and Henderson Avenue, in Porterville.

On 01-24-18, at approximately 1120 hours, Deputies were responding to an unrelated call for service. While in the area of Prospect Street and Henderson Avenue, Deputies observed a female in the middle of the intersection acting irrationally. As Deputies attempted to contact the female, she began to remove her clothing and was causing a great concern for the public’s safety.

Deputies contacted her and removed her from the intersection so traffic could resume. The female initially gave a false name and was found to be under the influence of narcotics. The female attempted to resist arrest but was taken into custody without incident. She was transported to Sierra View District Hospital for an evaluation and was then booked into the Porterville Substation for being under the influence of a controlled substance, indecent exposure and resisting arrest.
