On 04/16/18 at 2300 hours, Deputies responded to a report of a suspicious circumstance in the 600 block of South Olive, in Earlimart. Deputies arrived at the reporting party’s address and evaluated a male adult for being under the influence of a controlled substance.

The male adult was arrested and advised Deputies he had a “rifle” in his room. Deputies located an assault weapon and ammunition on scene. The suspect was subsequently arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of an assault weapon, possession of a short-barreled rifle.

While in the booking facility, the suspect became uncooperative and resisted Deputies.
