UPDATE: Armed robbery suspect arrested

On Dec. 26, 2017, through ongoing investigation and confirmed forensics results, Tulare County Sheriff's Detectives arrested suspect Angel Maduena, 18, of Terra Bella, for his involvement in the armed robbery of the Richgrove Food Center on Nov. 8, 2017.  

At the time of his arrest, Maduena was already in custody at the Adult Pre-Trial Facility for his involvement during an armed robbery in the city of Porterville which is being investigated by the Porterville Police Department.  

Maduena’s total bail is currently $2,060,000.

On Nov. 8, 2017 at 8:18 pm, Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Detectives were called to the Richgrove Food Center in the 20600 Block of Dooley Drive in Richgrove for a report of an armed robbery with three suspects. 


Deputies and Detectives contacted the victims and witnesses in the area of the scene who advised unknown male suspects, masked and armed with firearms entered the business and demanded money. One of the employees of the store received a non-life-threatening injury as a result of the incident. The suspects fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of money from the business.
