On 4-12-16 an autopsy was conducted on the victim in this case and the cause of death was determined to be a perforating gunshot wound to the head.

S1 – Jesus Jeronimo, 22 yoa, out of Bakersfield
S2 – Angelita Reyes, 40 yoa out of Bakersfield
Late April 7 and into early April 8, 2016, Violent Crimes Detectives of the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office arrested the above listed suspects on charges of Kidnapping, Conspiracy to Commit Murder and Murder in regards to the recent killing of victim Abrahan Gaspar Reyes, 40, of Selma, in an almond orchard west of Pixley.
This investigation proceeded non-stop since the discovery of the victim on Tuesday, April 5 by passersby. The Tulare County Sheriff's Violent Crimes detectives were assisted during the investigation by detectives of the CATTCH unit, the Bakersfield Police, and the Kings County Sheriff’s Office during the course of this investigation.

The victim has been identified as Abrahan Gaspar-Reyes, 40 years, out of the Sanger area.
On 4-5-16 at approx. 1700 hours, Violent Crimes Detectives were able to positively identify the victim in this case as Abrahan Gaspar-Reyes 30 yrs. and make notification to family members.

On 4-5-16 at approx. 0845 hours, Tulare County Sheriff's Patrol deputies were dispatched to the area of Avenue 72, east of Road 120, in Pixley, regarding a man down call. Upon their arrival, they located the victim lying in an orchard obviously deceased with an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
Violent Crimes Detectives along with Crime Lab Detectives were called to the the scene who took over the investigation.
No other information has been discovered during the initial investigation and an autopsy has been scheduled for later this week.
