Today, personnel from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team, along with Monterey County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue personnel, recovered a body at the bottom of a 100-foot ravine in Monterey County, near the area where Harold Hood’s van was located yesterday. 

The body will be taken to the Monterey County Coroner’s Office for identification.

We will release more information as it develops.
 

Last night, the van belonging to Missing Person Harold Hood was located in Monterey County. 

Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue personnel, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Violent Crimes Unit (who routinely investigates missing persons cases), as well as Tulare County Sheriff CFIU personnel, responded to the scene immediately. They are currently working with local authorities to search the area where the van was discovered.
