On May 6, 2016, Exeter Police arrested the second suspect, Feliciano Lopez, the older brother of the other suspect.

On 5/2/16 at approximately 1745 hours, Exeter Police were dispatched to the area of Filbert and Maple streets for shots heard and a possible gunshot wound victim.

When Officers arrived, they located a single gunshot wound victim. The victim was transported to a local hospital for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Witnesses told investigators the victim was driving to a house in the area when the suspects opened fire at the victim before fleeing the area.

During the course of the investigation, two male suspects were identified. One suspect was identified as Pedro Lopez, 19, was contacted at his residence and arrested. He was later booked into the Tulare County Pre-Trial Facility and held on charges pending court.

Another known male suspect was identified and is currently being sought after.  The suspect vehicle was identified as a newer white sedan and is also outstanding. 

The Interagency Gang Enforcement Team has taken over the investigation.

The Interagency Gang Enforcement Team (IGET) is made up of Gang Investigators from the Exeter and Famersville Police Departments and the Tulare County Sheriff's Office. The IGET is funded by the Edward Byrnes Justice Assistance Grant.
