UPDATE: Sheriff asks public to help identify homicide victim

The Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a homicide victim. He has multiple aliases:

Trinidad Rodriguez Yepez, 40 years of age 

Trinidad Guevara

Trinidad Rodriguez 

Trinidad Yepes 

Physical Description: Hispanic male, 5-11, 180 pounds, brown eyes, black hair 

 

The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a homicide victim, who was murdered on April 2, 2018, in Allensworth. He was found dead in an orchard in the area of Avenue 24 and Road 84.

The victim has used several aliases and investigators have yet to identify a next of kin.

Investigators are working with the Mexican Consulate in attempts to positively identify our victim and/or the victim’s family.

Update: Autopsy results released

Victim: Confidential (Pending family notification) 

On April 2, 2018, Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit began a homicide investigation after a male was found deceased in an orchard in the area of Avenue 24 and Road 84, in Allensworth.

On Wednesday, April 4, 2018, the Tulare County Sheriff's Office completed an autopsy on the victim and determined the cause of death to be a single gunshot wound to the upper torso.   

This case remains active and is currently under investigation. Anyone with information about this crime is encouraged to call Det. Daniel McBride or Sgt.
