On 03/07/17, Sheriff's Detectives conducted a search of a stolen vehicle involved in a recent pursuit. They discovered numerous items which had previously been reported stolen during two initial crime reports of theft from vehicles.
During the search, it was determined that all of the previously reported items from these two incidents had been recovered inside the bed and cab of this pickup, including additional items not originally reported from a third victim. The victims were able to identify their individual property which was returned to them.
The total recovery was estimated at $5,690, not including the recovery of the stolen pickup itself which had previously been reported stolen to Lindsay Police.

Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Deputies attempted a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle, which started at Road 148 and Avenue 288 in Visalia. The vehicle failed to yield and led Deputies in a pursuit which ended in a rural area in Exeter.
The suspect, Kenneth Johnson, solo occupant of the vehicle, fled on foot, after his vehicle was disabled in an open field. The suspect was apprehended by Deputies and taken into custody without further incident. The suspect was wanted for other recent burglaries in Tulare County. Stolen property was located inside the suspect vehicle and will be returned to the victims at a later time.
