On August 2, 2018, Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit arrested two additional suspects involved in the murder of Nieko Manderson. 

Manderson was found murdered on April 2, 2018 in the 4100 Block of Ave 400 in Kingsburg. During the four month investigation, Detectives found evidence linking Jose Cervantes and Mario Torres to the murder. 

Jose Cervantes was arrested Monday, July 30, 2018 in Sanger, California on an unrelated attempted homicide case and is currently in custody in Fresno County. 

Early this morning, Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit and SWAT Team executed two search warrants in the City of Parlier, where Torres was taken into custody. 

This marks the third arrest related to the murder of Manderson. Miguel Corona was arrested on June 28, 2018 and is currently in custody facing murder charges.
