On 2-28-18 at approximately 0744 hours, personnel from the Tulare County Regional Auto Theft Task Force (T-RATT) received information from the Porterville Police Department that a stolen vehicle was parked in the 900 block of West Morton Avenue, in Porterville. 

Personnel from T-RATT responded and ultimately took San Cornelio Trejoza Morano into custody for vehicle theft and possession of a stolen vehicle.  Morano was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance, controlled substance paraphernalia, burglary tools, counterfeit U.S. currency, brass knuckles, a stolen credit card, and a stolen driver’s license.  He was booked into the Porterville substation for the above listed charges.

The stolen vehicle was recovered and returned to the victim. 

 

The Tulare County Regional Auto Theft Task Force (T-RATT) is comprised of personnel from the California Highway Patrol, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office, the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office, the Visalia Police Department, the Tulare Police Department, the Porterville Police Department, and the Department of Motor Vehicles.
