In August 2017, Human Resources and Development (HR&D) Department opened our doors at our new facility which was the old Planetarium building.
Our grand re-opening ceremony and open house was complete with an unveiling of a painted mural that depicts and promotes the County's lifestyle, various tourist destinations, and economic opportunities for employment.
"Tulare County is a wonderful place to live and work. We want this building to reflect that and be a symbol the people of Tulare County can be proud of," shared the 2017 Board Chairman Pete Vander Poel.
The mural is unique for a government building and a first for the County. The County enlisted well-known large scale muralist, Colleen Mitchel-Veyna, to bring the vision to life. To date, Mitchel-Veyna has completed more than 200 murals including multiple works of art though out Tulare County. http://veynadesignstudios.com
