On Wednesday July 3^rd, 2019 at approximately 1451 hrs Deputies from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 13400 block of Avenue 416 in Orosi regarding a gunshot wound victim. Upon arrival Deputies located a 14 year old male juvenile who had sustained a single gunshot wound to his upper torso. The juvenile was taken to a local area hospital where he was treated and released. Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office were called to the scene. During the investigation it was learned there was a physical altercation prior to the juvenile being shot. Leads were developed and an adult male identified as 21 year old Jose Luis Esqueda was determined to be involved. Esqueda was later located and arrested without incident. At this time the motive for the shooting is still under investigation.
