On 4-15-19, Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department TAGNET (Tulare Area Gang and Narcotic Enforcement Team) and TAGNET Majors met with members from Resource Management Agency, Code Compliance Unit regarding 5 civil abatement warrants in the city of Goshen. This was due to several complaints from neighbors regarding the smell of marijuana and suspicious traffic throughout the neighborhoods. While assisting Resource Management Agency, Detectives observed several illegal cultivations of marijuana gardens within the following locations:
30000 Blk. of Ivy Rd., Goshen
30000 Blk. of Kame Rd., Goshen
30000 Blk. of Effie Dr., Goshen
In addition to the nineteen civil abatement warrants, Code Compliance Officers, with the assistance of Detectives from TAGNET and TAGNET Majors, made contact at a residence in the 32000 blk. of Kame Rd. Goshen regarding marijuana compliance issues. Residents were aware of the marijuana plants being present at this location and agreed to remove the marijuana and requested Detectives destroy it for them.
During the operation of eradicating the illegal grow sites Detectives were able to locate, eradicate over 10,069 plants which were later destroyed. No occupants at any residence were arrested.
