Update:
The victim of yesterday’s homicide in Porterville has been identified as 22-year-old Adonis Tapia of Porterville.
The suspect vehicle is a dark-colored midsized import vehicle.

UPDATE:
Just before 11 a.m. today, Tulare County Sheriff Deputies responded to a shooting in the 700 Block of East Success Drive between Leggett Street and Park Street, in Porterville. Patrol Units were on scene within two minutes.
Deputies located a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The man was transported to a local hospital where he passed away from his injuries. The victim’s name has not been released yet, pending notification of next of kin.
The Sheriff’s Homicide Unit and Forensic Unit have taken over the investigation.

Detectives investigating shooting in Porterville
Just before 11:00 a.m, Tulare County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area of Success Dr. and Leggett St. in Porterville for reports of gunshots heard in the area. Upon arrival, deputies located a male victim suffering from multiple gun shot wounds.
