On 6/29/15, at approximately 0434 hours, Deputies attempted to stop a white Chevrolet Camaro in the area of Mineral King and County Center in Visalia for a vehicle code violation.  The driver of the suspect vehicle accelerated to over 80 MPH on surface streets and continued westbound Hwy 198 at speeds over 100 MPH.  The driver was eventually apprehended at Hwy 198 and Plaza Dr. without further incident.  The driver was identified as Jesus Camacho, 21 years old.  He was subsequently booked at the Adult Pre-Trial Facility for evading a peace officer, under the influence of a controlled substance and other vehicle code violations.
