Deputies responded to the 21000 block of  Avenue 128, in Porterville for a vehicle theft  report.

Deputies contacted the reporting party who works for the Tulare County Waste Disposal site. He said sometime between 11-19-16 and 11-20-16, unknown suspect(s) entered the County Disposal property and took a work truck.

The suspect(s) crashed into the gate on the property as they fled. Deputies circulated the area and located the truck abandoned in an orchard. The vehicle was recovered. The truck was returned to the Tulare County Disposal site. Suspect(s) are outstanding.

Case under investigation by the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office.
