On July 9th, 2019 an autopsy was completed on Anthony Sembrano, 56, of Visalia. The coroner noted no signs of injury and the cause of death is pending toxicology.

An inmate was pronounced dead Thursday, June 27, 2019, at the Adult Pre-Trial Facility and no foul play is suspected.
The inmate, Anthony Sembrano, 56, of Visalia was suffering from a medical condition and was being treated by medical staff. At approximately 1:40 p.m., the inmate collapsed and Deputies and medical staff rendered first aid but were not able to resuscitate him.
He was pronounced dead at the facility.
Sembrano had been in custody for two days. Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office have taken over the investigation and have notified his family.
At this time, investigators do not suspect any foul play. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine an official cause of death.
