Oil and Gas: Production, Reports and Expense

The following forms are required for reporting production, expenses, and property details related to oil, gas, and geothermal operations. These confidential reports assist the Assessor’s Office in determining the taxable value of mineral rights.

Oil and Dissolved Gas Production Report (BOE-566-D)
This form is required for operators engaged in oil and dissolved gas production. It collects data on production volumes, injection details, sales, royalties, reserves, and production equipment. A separate report must be filed for each property where extraction occurs.

Dry Gas Production, Equipment, New Well, Redrill, and Rework Report (BOE-566-F)
This form applies to dry gas (non-associated gas) production and is used to report well production, gas sales, reserves, contract terms, and equipment details. Operators must also report any new wells, redrilled wells, or rework operations.

Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Personal Property Statement (BOE-566-J)
This form is required to report all personal property related to oil, gas, and geothermal operations, including office equipment, warehouse stock, unlicensed vehicles, leased equipment, and government-owned property located on the lease site.

Oil and Gas Operating Expense Data Report (BOE-566-K)
This report is used to declare operating expenses, labor costs, material costs, well maintenance, utility expenses, and capital expenditures related to oil and gas production. Operators must file a separate report for each property.
