Tulare County Clerk-Recorder website merges with Assessor site
The Tulare County Assessor/Clerk-Recorder announced today the merging of the Clerk-Recorder and Assessor websites. The Assessor/Clerk-Recorder website will serve as a centralized hub, accommodating an array of services and resources previously separated across two distinct websites. New Clerk-Recorder web pages provide a wealth of information and services:
1. Couples wanting to get married can download a marriage license and learn how to submit it to the County Clerk’s Office.
2. Find information on how to obtain copies of birth, death and marriage certificates.
3. Read the requirements for filing fictitious business name statements.
4. Find out how to obtain copies of recorded documents such as property deeds and liens.
5. Download templates of some commonly used recording forms.
“We’ve been adding more resources to our website to help the public be fully prepared when they come to our office for important matters such as getting a marriage license or filing a fictitious business name statement,” Assessor/Clerk-Recorder Tara Freitas said. “This is just the beginning. More online, self-service options are coming soon that will promote further transparency for our constituents.”
The merged Assessor/Clerk-Recorder website will ensure a seamless transition for existing users of both the Clerk-Recorder and Assessor's websites, incorporating the functionalities and services they have come to rely on while introducing new features and enhanced accessibility. Other notable services available on the Assessor’s website include a property search tool that provides assessment values and physical characteristics of individual parcels; downloadable Assessor’s Parcel Maps; and many forms associated with various assessment matters such as tax exemptions, reassessment exclusions and property statements.
