Brothers Arrested for Shooting Near School

On 12/13/23, TCSO Detectives arrested two suspected gang members who were involved in a shootout near Earlimart Middle School on December 1. 25-year-old Manuel and 22-year-old Erik Manjarrez, who are brothers, were tracked down after Detectives served a warrant at their home in Earlimart. During the warrant, Detectives found multiple guns, including an AK-47 assault with high-capacity magazines and a large amount of ammunition.

On December, 1 just before 3 p.m., Deputies were called to multiple shots heard near Earlimart Middle School. Witnesses told them two vehicles were driving near the school and the people inside began shooting at each other. Several days later, TCSO TAGNET Detectives identified the Manjarrez brothers as the suspects. They were booked at the South County Detention Facility.
