UPDATE: “Operation Nightmare” Ends with Arrests in Goshen Massacre

Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux announced the arrest of 35-year-old Angel Uriarte of Goshen and 25-year-old Noah Beard of Visalia for the heinous murders of six people, including a 10-month-old baby, on January 16th.

Just before 4 a.m. on January 16th, 2023, TCSO Deputies were called to a home in the 6800 Block of Harvest Road in Goshen for multiple shots fired. When Deputies arrived, they found six people shot to death: 52-year-old Eladio Parraz, 19-year-old Marcos Parraz, 49-year-old Jennifer Analla, 72-year-old Rosa Parraz, 16-year-old Alissa Parraz, and her 10-month-old baby, Nycholas.

The TCSO Forensics Team collected evidence left behind at the scene and connected Uriarte and Beard to the murders.

This morning, more than 100 detectives, officers and agents from local and federal agencies, executed search warrants at three locations. The first search warrant was served in the 1000 Block of South Noyes St. in Visalia. At that location, Detectives arrested Noah Beard without incident. At that same time, a warrant was served in the 6600 Block of Ave. 308 in Goshen. Angel Uriarte was found at that location, but ran from law enforcement. While he was running, Uriarte fired several shots at ATF Agents. The agents fired back, hitting Uriarte in the torso. He was rushed to the hospital and underwent surgery. He is expected to survive.

Although the motive is still not clear, Detectives have determined that two members of the Parraz family were well known validated Surreno gang members, in the town of Goshen, which is a predominantly Norteno town. Uriarte and Beard are validated Norteno gang members. Both now face multiple murder charges.

Sheriff Boudreaux would like to commend the men and women from each agency, local and federal, that spent countless hours and worked day and night to break this case.

This investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office at 559-733-6218.

Six Dead in Early Morning Massacre at Goshen Home

Just before 4 a.m. on 1/16/23, TCSO Deputies were called to a home in the 6800 Block of Harvest Road in Goshen for multiple shots fired. The reporting party believed an active shooter was in the area because of the amount of shots being heard. Deputies arrived seven minutes later. When they arrived, Deputies immediately noticed two victims dead in the street. Deputies then found a third shooting victim in the doorway of the home. As Deputies searched the area, they found multiple victims at the scene. At this point, there are six total victims. There are victims inside and outside the home. One victim was still alive when Deputies arrived on scene and was taken to the hospital after Deputies performed CPR on him, as well as other victims. Unfortunately, they were all pronounced dead, including the victim who was taken to the hospital.

Detectives believe there are at least two suspects and this is not a random act of violence. It appears this family was targeted and there are gang associations involved, as well as potential drug investigations. A week ago, TCSO Detectives conducted a narcotics search warrant at the victims’ home.

The victims include a 16-year-old mother and her 10-month-old baby.

Right now, the TCSO Crime Lab, Forensics Unit, Homicide Detectives and Gang Detectives are on scene investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office at 559-733-6218.
