Slick Rock: Two Rescued, One Adult Missing

UPDATE:

Sheriff Boudreaux has deployed additional resources on 4/28/23, to search for the missing adult who did not surface in the Kaweah River yesterday: Tulare County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue, TCSO Swiftwater Dive Rescue, TCSO UAV Unit (drones), and Lemoore Naval Air Station SAR will fly air support. Please stay away from moving water in our lakes and streams and rivers. It’s extremely dangerous especially with the possibility of snowmelt due to rising temperatures.

Deputies from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office along with Tulare County Fire and NAS Lemoore Swiftwater Dive Rescue teams worked together this evening and recovered a 7-year-old child and an adult male out of the middle of the river. Both juvenile and adult male are being treated at a local hospital. Crews are still searching for a missing adult who did not surface.
