TCSO Detectives Recover $100,000 Tractor

Just after 7 a.m on 3/4/23, TCSO Deputies were called to the area of Road 24 and Avenue 88 in Alpaugh for a report of a theft of a tractor. When deputies arrived, they were told a $100,000 John Deere 5100m Tractor was stolen. The tractor was attached to a ditch pump. TCSO Ag Detectives were called to the scene and took over the investigation. During the investigation, a Ford Mustang was found. The Ford Mustang was stuck in the mud and had become disabled. Detectives monitored the Ford Mustang and with the assistance of TCSO’s Airplane, WREN 1, they were able to track the Mustang and identify 45-year-old Jacobo Conde as the suspect. Conde was taken into custody. Jacobo later led Detectives to the tractor, which was recovered and returned to its rightful owner.

Jacobo was arrested and booked on charges of Grand Theft.
