Detectives Bust Several Tulare County Homes for Illegal Pot Grows & Find Stolen Rifle

On 09-24-2018 at a.m., Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office TAGNET (Tulare Area Gang and Narcotic Enforcement Team) and TAGNET Majors met with members from Resource Management Agency Code Compliance Unit for a Code Enforcement Abatement warrant at home in the Long Canyon Trail, Kennedy Meadows.  While helping Resource Management Agency, Detectives saw illegal marijuana gardens within the property.  A total of 707 plants were also found, eradicated and destroyed. No suspects were located and/or arrested.

On 09-25-2018 at about 8 a.m., Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office TAGNET (Tulare Area Gang and Narcotic Enforcement Team) and TAGNET Majors met with members from Resource Management Agency Code Compliance Unit regarding four civil abatement warrants in Matheny Tract, South Tulare.  This was in response to several complaints from neighbors regarding the smell of marijuana and suspicious traffic throughout the neighborhoods. While helping Resource Management Agency, Detectives found several illegal marijuana gardens within the following locations: 

200 blk. E. Wade Ave., Tulare

500 blk. W. Wade Ave., Tulare

100 blk. W. Beacon Ave., Tulare

600 blk. W. Beacon Ave., Tulare

      

In addition to the four civil abatement warrants, Code Compliance Officers, with the help of Detectives from TAGNET and TAGNET Majors, made contact at two homes in the 600 Blk W. Beacon Ave in Tulare regarding marijuana compliance issues. Residents were aware of the marijuana plants at the home and requested officers remove the marijuana and destroy it for them.

During the operation of eradicating the illegal grow sites, Detectives were able to locate and eradicate more than 1,508 plants, which were all collected and destroyed.  Along with the marijuana, Detectives also found a stolen rifle.  No suspects were located in the area where the rifle was found. However, one suspect was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
