Top Ten Fugitive Captured in Tulare Motel

On 10-20-2018, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office added 43-year-old Fugitive Roy Perez of Tulare to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Top 10 Most Wanted list. Perez was wanted on a felony warrant for narcotics sales and wanted for questioning for his involvement in Operation Rough Riders, which resulted in multiple gang members being arrested for sending drugs into Tulare County Jails.

On 10-23-2018, Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office CATTCH Unit developed information regarding Perez’ whereabouts. As a result of a follow-up investigation, Detectives obtained a search warrant for a motel in the 700 block of S. K Street in Tulare. Around 5:15 p.m., Detectives executed a search warrant at the motel and found Perez. During the execution of the search warrant, an unknown amount of drugs were flushed in the toilet. Perez was ultimately taken and booked at the Adult Pre-Trial Facility for Destruction of Evidence and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
