Death records for current-year events and one year prior originate in and are available from the County health department (Vital Statistics). Records for all years are maintained by the Clerk-Recorder.
There are several ways you can obtain a copy of a death certificate.
You can download, print, and submit a completed form to Tulare County Clerk, 221 S. Mooney Blvd., Rm. 105, Visalia, CA, between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Please bring valid photo ID.
You can mail a notarized application along with payment to the address above, and your certificate will be mailed to you.
