Using information from the cadastral services unit, this group draws the parcel data in conjunction with various state and local rules, regulations and laws. The result is a parcel that is strictly used for tax assessment purposes. This parcel may not reflect legal boundaries
The Assessor GIS is a framework for gathering, managing, and analyzing data. Rooted in the science of geography and the discipline surveying, GIS integrates many types of data. It analyzes spatial location and organizes layers of information into visualizations using maps.
Our GIS is using Global Positioning System (GPS) coordinates along mathematical equations to better determine the location of a property boundary, just as would be determined by a surveyor. This visual data is then combined with Assessor parcel data.
With this unique capability, We can reveal deeper insights into data, such as patterns and relationships. This allows the Tulare County Assessor to make timely and accurate decisions based on current actionable intelligence.
When this information is shared with local cities and municipalities, the entire county will benefit from from more intelligent and timely decisions.
