Tulare County’s total taxable property value climbed to $52.95 billion for the 2025/26 fiscal year, reflecting a 6% increase over the prior year, Assessor/Clerk-Recorder Tara K. Freitas, CPA, announced today. The annual assessment roll represents the total net taxable value of all locally assessed real, business and personal property as of January 1, 2025.
2024/2025 Assessment Roll nears $50 billion
Tulare County Assessor/Clerk-Recorder Tara K. Freitas, CPA, has announced that the annual assessment roll is $49.93 billion, marking an 8.4% increase from last year. The assessment roll represents the total net value of all locally assessed real estate, business and personal property in Tulare County as of January 1, 2024.
The Tulare County Clerk and Recorder's offices will temporarily close April 22-23 to install new records management software. The closure is necessary to ensure a smooth transition and enhance the efficiency and accuracy of services provided to the public.

The assessment roll reflects the total gross assessed value of locally assessed real, business, and personal property in Tulare County as of January 1, 2023. After the deduction of property tax exemptions for homeowners, disabled veterans, and charitable organizations, the net assessed value is $46 billion.
