Not all closures may be included in the map, locations may not be exact, and drivers should exercise caution when traveling during flood conditions. 

Typical Seasonal (Winter) Road Closures Due to Snow* - Check Status on Road Closure Map (above)

  • Western Divide (Closed at M50 and M107) between CA Hot Springs and Ponderosa. This road is not plowed at night and may be closed during storms.
  • Ponderosa: Fox Drive from M107 to Tip Drive (M179B)
  • Balch Park Road at MP 38.5 to Bear Creek Road at MP 8.5
  • M50 from Milepost 10.75 to Milepost 18.5

All the following roads are closed until further notice:

  • Avenue 120 west of State Route 43 will be closed starting July 17, 2023, for approximately 18 months. A detour will be provided for the duration of the closure. This closure is being implemented as a result of the California High Speed Rail Project.
