Just after 11 a.m, TCSO Deputies were called to the 38000 Block of Hotsprings Road, in California Hot Springs for a man stealing mail. Deputies found the man in the area of Avenue 124 and Road 232. 32-year-old James Edwards of Kern County was arrested. Edwards is on probation for stealing a vehicle and was found driving a stolen car as well. Deputies searched the car and found multiple stolen items.

Edwards was taken into custody and was booked at the South County Detention Facility on multiple felony charges.
