Ducor Man Arrested for Chasing Children with Knife and Attempting to Stab Multiple People

Around 9:00 p.m Wednesday, TCSO Deputies were called to the 23000 Block of Mt. Whitney Avenue in Durcor for a report of a man with a knife. Deputies were told that the suspect, 34-year-old Daniel Chavez, tried to stab several people and then chased them with a knife. Deputies detained Chavez without incident.

 

Throughout the investigation, Deputies found that Chavez had chased people, including children, throughout the house with the knife, coming just a few inches from some of them. Chavez was also making threatening statements. Chavez was booked at the South County Detention Facility for Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Criminal Threats, and Child Endangerment.
