This morning, 50-Year-Old Ernesto Acosta, an inmate at the Tulare County South County Detention Facility, told Tulare County Correctional Deputies he was not feeling well. 

Mr.Acosta was seen by the medical staff at the facility. The medical provider requested to send Mr. Acosta to a local hospital for additional care, as he had long term medical aliments. Mr. Acosta was taken to Sierra View Hospital where he later passed away at 12:45 p.m.

The exact cause of death is pending autopsy and toxicology report, but is believed to be a non-suspicious, apparent natural death.
